This is an intensive mental health treatment program for children and adolescents. We work closely with teachers to provide a structured environment for children to develop skills for coping with emotional and behavioral problems in school and at home. The goal is to rehabilitate students so that they are prepared to transition back into their home and school settings. Children are referred to this program by the public schools. There are on average 25 children/adolescents in this program each year.
Our experienced mental health professionals provide individual and family counseling to adults, children and families. Professionally trained therapists place a strong emphasis on solution focused therapy and education.
Children and Adolescents, experiencing a variety of mental health disorders, often require assessment and ongoing medication management. To do this important work, we employ a board certified Child and Adolescent psychiatrist. He will assess your child’s need for medication by interviewing your child, family, and other sources. If medication is prescribed, rest assured your child will be monitored for any side effects and its effectiveness.
