Next Steps
The program is led by Medical Director, Dr. Wanda Good – a fellowship-trained general surgeon, specializing in a Robotic-assisted approach to Metabolic and Bariatric surgery. Lourdes offers several types of metabolic and bariatric surgery, including Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric banding (Lap-Band®) and possible surgical revisions of previous bariatric surgery. These procedures are performed using a minimally invasive Robotic-assisted laparoscopic approach, in which operations in the abdomen are performed via small incisions with advanced technology. This provides the surgeon 3D vision and instrumentation designed to simulate the range of motion of a human wrist.
Surgical weight loss is a safe and effective alternative when other methods are not successful, it is NOT a quick fix. Success depends on your commitment to lifelong diet modifications and an active lifestyle. We offer FREE monthly informational seminars and support group meetings for patients pre and postoperatively.
Obesity is a serious threat to your health. Please call 509.416.8895 to schedule a Bariatric consultation.
