Volunteers Needed!
Consider joining Lourdes Health Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
PFAC Vision: To be a leader in Patient and Family Centered Care.
PFAC Mission: The Lourdes Health PFAC’s mission is to partner with our patients, families, and healthcare team to improve the overall patient experience. Lourdes Health and PFAC will partner together in creating an environment of quality, safety, and clinical excellence to our Patients and their families.
What it Means to be in a PFAC:
At Lourdes Health, we are committed to partnering with current and former patients, families and caregivers to improve the healthcare experience for all. Patient advisors are a diverse group of people who enjoy working with others and contributing ideas, while being able to hear and balance different perspectives with compassion and respect.
Our PFAC typically meets for 60 minutes bi-monthly.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Be respectful of the unique background and perspective of each individual member.
- Rather than focusing on what is not working, individuals should be proactive in driving improvement and bringing creative ideas for change.
- Engage thoughtfully and constructively around the issues and ideas discussed during each session.
- Attend PFAC meetings or notify the PFAC Liaison in advance if unable to attend.
- Be prepared to participate in activities that are on-site.
- Provide timely feedback when requested.
- Complete Volunteer Services application process, an interview, and attend Hospital Orientation including tour of our facilities (Lourdes Medical Center, West Pasco Clinics, and Lourdes Behavioral Health).
