COVID-19: Patient & Visitor Updates
Page updated Sept. 22, 2021
Lourdes Health Visitor Restrictions, Limited Access Points, & Screenings
Lourdes Health is committed to protecting the health and safety of everyone who walks through our doors. We are continuing to work closely with the Benton-Franklin Health District and following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.
Out of an abundance of caution and to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, we are implementing visitor restrictions and have limited entry points to the hospital.
Care Partner Visitor Policy: For the safety of our patients, their loved ones, and our medical staff, Lourdes Health is limiting the number of care partners per patient to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19.
- Hospital patients are allowed one (1) care partner per day
- Pediatric patients may have up to two (2) parents and/or guardians visit at the same time
- Masks must be worn at all times
- Care partners of COVID-positive patients must adhere to strict PPE policy
- At Lourdes Health clinics, one (1) care partner is allowed per patient. Up to two (2) parents and/or guardians may accompany pediatric patients. Siblings are allowed if they are masked and are screened upon arrival. Any sniffles or a cough in the sibling(s) would preclude them from being able to accompany the scheduled sibling.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to protect our patients and keep our communities safe. Exceptions may be made for end-of-life care.
Limited Entry Points
We have limited entry points to the hospital and are screening everyone – employees, providers, patients and the limited permissible visitors currently allowed – who enters the building. The following provides additional detail about both safety measures:
Clinic & Therapy Patients: For patients with appointments at our pulmonology, cardiology, rheumatology & neurology clinics as well as patients here for physical, speech and occupational therapy, please use the Joint & Spine entrance.
All Other Patients: Patients here for emergency care, surgery, laboratory or imaging services please enter using our emergency department entrance. This entrance is open 24 hours a day.
All other entry points will be closed until further notice.
All patients, visitors and staff entering the hospital will be screened with questions regarding respiratory symptoms and travel history, per CDC recommendations. Patients with symptoms will immediately be provided masks and managed per CDC guidelines. Based on the screening, visitors may also be asked to take their temperature, speak further with someone, or come back at a later date. Screening will occur upon every entry.
We want to reassure our communities that it is safe to come to the hospital should you or your family need care. We stand ready to serve you.

Lourdes Health is taking every precaution to keep our patients and staff safe, and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. For this reason, we are following the CDC recommendation and state and county mandates that anyone who enters our facility must wear a face mask at all times.
Why wear a mask? Recent studies show that universal masking, in addition to practicing social distancing and proper hand hygiene, can help prevent the spread of infectious diseases like COVID-19, especially in individuals who may not know they are ill. And until there is a vaccine, these measures are our best line of defense in protecting not only you, but also our healthcare workers and community members.
Please be smart and do your part. Wear a mask! We all have a responsibility to protect one another against the spread of COVID-19 and make our communities healthier.

To help limit the spread of COVID-19, we have temporarily closed or limited some services. See below for information on current closures or limitations.
