When you volunteer at Lourdes, you gain new skills, ease the burdens of others, brighten the day of patients, and bring smiles to children. You’ll meet new people and probably new friends. We have many activities and services that need volunteers. Lourdes serves hundreds of people each day. All of these individuals, in some way, benefit from the helping hands of our talented volunteers.

Anyone 16+years or older with spare time and a talent of helping others makes a great hospital volunteer. At Lourdes, you’ll find volunteers from all walks of life—college students, retirees, teens, working people, former employees, individuals with disabilities. We’ll take into account whether you have a job or other commitments and the amount of time you have available. All volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of four hours of service a week for one year. We’ll help you find a volunteer position that is right for you.
How to Volunteer at Lourdes
To volunteer at Lourdes, you’ll be asked to bring your completed volunteer application to discuss volunteer opportunities. In addition, we’ll need your permission to conduct a state law enforcement background check (requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in a hospital). Once you’ve been approved, you’ll receive an orientation session. You’ll feel well prepared to begin your important job for Lourdes.
