32-Bed Licensed Psychiatric Hospital
Lourdes Counseling Center provides patients from Benton/Franklin Counties and all of Washington State with voluntary and involuntary licensed care. Lourdes routinely cares for hundreds of people each year with an average stay of nine days. In the tradition of Lourdes, our licensed psychiatrists, professional nurses, mental health counselors and physician assistants are dedicated to providing quality compassionate care.
16-Bed Licensed Residential Service - Transitions
In response to a great need in the region, we provide residential services focused on crisis resolution. Our services are less intensive than in the psychiatric hospital. Hundreds of individuals receive services each year and stay on average of five days. In the tradition of Lourdes, nurse practitioners, nurses, mental health professionals and counselors are available to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
Transitions Jail Diversion
In collaboration, Lourdes Transitions program works with nine local law enforcement groups. The focus is on those who are mentally ill and have committed a low level misdemeanor. This unique program allows people who are acutely mentally ill to receive treatment rather than go to jail.
Assessment and Referral
You can rely on our mental health professionals to conduct an initial screening for appropriate outpatient services. We provide this service to hundreds of individuals throughout our region each month.
Personal, focused care is a promise at Lourdes. Our mental health staff customize services for our patients with chronic mental illness. Most of the services are provided in a community setting. The emphasis is placed on helping you or your loved one live independently in the community.
Our experienced mental health professionals provide individual and family counseling. Professionally trained therapists place a strong emphasis on solution focused therapy and education.
This 10-bed residential home serves people who need structure, support and short term housing for up to 90 days. The focus is on reducing barriers that may be preventing individuals from living independently. Cullum House is staffed by professionally trained and experienced mental health counselors.
Lourdes Desert Hope Service offers 24-hour care for individuals withdrawing from alcohol and/or other drugs. Individuals are treated with respect and dignity in a safe and caring environment. We also offer quality care and discharge planning for continued behavioral health treatment, including substance use and mental health.
Our counselors work with inmates from Benton/Franklin Counties to assess their needs for ongoing mental health services. We also help inmates apply for health insurance and arrange post-release services.
Individuals, experiencing a variety of mental health disorders, often require assessment and ongoing medication management. We employ five psychiatrists, three nurse practitioners and five registered nurses to monitor potential medication side effects and assess the effectiveness of the medications.
Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT)
Twelve of our mental health workers* are focused on helping adults with severe and persistent mental illness with their housing, financial management, skill development, employment, chemical dependency and medication management.

Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH)
We have designed these services to help identify, assess and ensure the safety of those who are homeless and mentally ill. It is our goal to help link clients with services that will address their immediate needs. Our primary emphasis is on outreach and housing solutions.
Substance Abuse Services
This program provides chemical dependency services for individuals who also suffer from mental illness. Group and individual services are provided by experienced mental health professionals and chemical dependency staff.
Lourdes owns 10 mobile homes with a total of 22 beds for individuals who need to develop their independent living skills. Participation may be for up to 12 months with support from program staff. This program is staffed by experienced mental health counselors.
Lourdes Children's Day Program
This is an intensive mental health treatment program for children and adolescents. We work closely with teachers to provide a structured environment for children to develop skills for coping with emotional and behavioral problems in school and at home. The goal is to rehabilitate students so that they are prepared to transition back into their home and school settings. Children are referred to this program by the public schools. There are on average 25 children/adolescents in this program each year.
Our experienced mental health professionals provide individual and family counseling to adults, children and families. Professionally trained therapists place a strong emphasis on solution focused therapy and education.
Children and Adolescents, experiencing a variety of mental health disorders, often require assessment and ongoing medication management. To do this important work, we employ a board certified Child and Adolescent psychiatrist. He will assess your child’s need for medication by interviewing your child, family, and other sources. If medication is prescribed, rest assured your child will be monitored for any side effects and its effectiveness.
